because the more I looked at the other one the less happy I was with it.

i felt as though that one was more serious battle rarg armor
this one is more for looks. I mean look at it.
it practically holds no protection value whatsoever
unless you whack her on the head, then she's protected
or plant nails in the floor
Palette will not be happy when she learns of my scheme
I shall stab her in the flank
fabric does not to protection very well, you see.

Very interesting design... ironically it's her hair that caught my attention the most as usually people dress up "regular" ponies into these armors... yours seem like a descendant of one of the princesses (ironically, she seems closer related to Celestia then Luna 
).
